CONSULTATION
Fields CSI offers a variety of consultation services. Our main consulation service focuses on scratched glass and its sources. With this in mind, we help determine the causes, prevention and possible liability for glass replacement or its restoration. In most cases scratched glass is related to, or a direct result of, at least one of the following factors: manufacturing, shipping, installation, lack of window protection during construction, sloppy sub-contractors, untrained window cleaners and defective tempered glass with poor surface quality.
Our consultation service provides in-depth analysis into the causes of the scratched glass in question. We investigate all areas of the contruction project to help determine how and why the glass scratched. Spectial attention is given to glass quality, window protection during construction, and glass inspection standards. Modern forensic techniques are used to examine the damaged glass surface and scratches, producing microscopic images which in many cases show the cause for the scratching.
