Ask these Two Questions (Scratched Glass)
Thanks to Dan Fields, MWCoA, and others, and their work with scratched glass, I have found two questions that even un-reasonable builders, customers, etc. find educational: 1. Is it safe to assume that at least 90% of your scratched glass problems occur on tempered glass? 2. Do you feel that this may be an indication of the problem?
Hope this helps!

Mike,
I would say tempered and heat-strengthed glass has been scratched BY FAR more than any other glass. And, most glass is not heat-treated.
So, why is so much heat-treated glass scratching?
www.StopScratchedGlass.com is the long answer.
The short answer? CLICK: The Challenge, then CLICK: Quality Glass
The big problem with poor quality heat-treated glass is, when a customer sees the massive scratches on heat-treated glass, they assume all the glass in the entire building is scratched. So, they start looking VERY CLOSELY for more scratches.
Sad but true.
Get a waiver signed and put the pressure back on the builder and window supplier. Then they might start holding the fabricator responsible.
God luck,
